EMD Serono is the American subsidiary of the global biopharmaceutical firm Merk Serono. EMD’s offices underwent extensive interior tenant upgrades at their 73,000 square-foot headquarters at One Technology Place in Rockland. Siena acted as construction manager, working with designs by Symmes Maini & McKee Associates. The project scope included demolition of existing conditions to accommodate construction of new a employee lounge, common areas and restrooms, as well as upgrading offices for the financial, IT, business, legal, endocrinology, and oncology departments. New construction consisted of upgrades to glazing, millwork, lighting, restrooms, with new finishes throughout.
