Siena was the construction manager on a university library’s recent renovation project, which consists of more than 11,450 sf of the building’s second floor. Plans were created by Austin Architects, with engineering consulting by Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, and AHA Engineers. The project called for upgrades to the library’s reading rooms, book stacks, microfiche rooms, library related offices, and instructional space, while increasing the occupancy space by 10%. Siena’s team demolished the library’s existing space and constructed new drywall, finishes, glass and glazing, doors, frames, and hardware, fire protection, HVAC, and other electrical upgrades.
