Siena Construction has been chosen by The Broad Institute to complete modifications at their new building located at 75 Ames Street in Cambridge’s Kendall Square. This fast-track project includes installing research equipment and refining fixtures to the nearly-completed 12th floor.

The facility features molecular imaging technology, state-of-the-art cleanrooms, and a vivarium. Siena is installing drop seal doors, coordinating room confinement, and other measures necessary to maintain the controlled laboratory environment. The design plans also call for installing fixtures to help minimize site contamination, including two new mop sinks, and eyewash stations. In addition, the construction team will upgrade miscellaneous electrical, mechanical, and plumbing infrastructure, including the addition of new lighting, metro shelving, and kitchenette fixtures.

Siena will carry out Elkus Manfredi Architects and BR+A’s design plan. Siena is also working closely with Boston Properties’ project management team.

Siena is very happy to continue our partnership with The Broad Institute, and congratulates them on the opening of their new building. The new space will support Broad’s ongoing genomics research to further understand and treat diseases.
