Andy-2

Siena Construction is pleased to announce the hiring of Andrew Garnitz as a Project Superintendent. As Superintendent, Andrew manages onsite field operations to plan, supervise and evaluate construction personnel work. He coordinates field forces, anticipates labor and material issues, prevents unnecessary delays, and oversees site safety procedures.

Andrew brings nearly a decade of construction experience to his current role. He has been involved in multiple aspects of construction management as a Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, and Assistant Superintendent.

Project highlights from his tenure at Suffolk Construction/William A. Berry & Sons include work on MIT’s Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research; Boston Wharf Tower, a residential high rise at 315 A Street; Newton Wellesley Hospital renovations; Regeneron Pharmaceutical Fit Outs; and campus projects for Northeastern University and Suffolk University. Andrew is a LEED Green Associate and holds a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License, as well as HAZMAT and OSHA 10/30 Certifications.

Siena’s President Terrence Hayes strongly believes Andrew’s professional priorities and achievements complement Siena’s goals.

“Andrew is a great addition to our expanding team of experienced field professionals,” Terrence said. “He is knowledgeable, energetic, and has a proven history of excellence in site supervision, always acting with the project goals in mind. I’m happy to welcome Andrew to our team.”

The addition of our new superintendent marks a period of continued growth for Siena as we expand our project workload with jobs for new clients, while maintaining and deepening our partnerships with clients who have returned to us for repeat work.
