AGC Newsletter Spends a Moment with Siena’s Carli Cabana
The latest installment of the Association of General Contractors’ Massachusetts Newsletter features a generous profile of Siena Construction’s Carli Cabana, written by Lisa Frisbee. Carli has been an integral team member with Siena since 2013, when she began as an Assistant Project Manager.
The article focuses on Carli’s important work as a founding member of the AGC’s newly created Building Women in Construction Committee (BWiC), a network created to support and empower women to excel in the management and networking potential of their careers, share personal stories and feedback relative to mutual experiences. The feature points to the industry challenges that a woman can experience, and the positive potential of mutually supportive relationships:
“Carli has had her share of challenges along the way that include struggling with work-life balance, especially while going for her Master’s. She said she ‘It was a difficult time for sure. I needed to keep my head on straight and really pay attention to every detail.’ She gives credit to mentor Chrissy Gabriel, a Senior Project Manager at Siena at the time. Carli shares that Chrissy had the confidence and know how to manage her work and would always take time out of her own day to offer advice and best practices.”
