From Labs to Learning Spaces: Siena’s Adaptive Campus Renovations in Action
Campus renovation work requires an adaptable team – one that can move seamlessly between different environments while responding to both consistent client standards and the unique challenges of each facility’s existing conditions.
Siena recently completed a series of interior renovation projects within a university life sciences and engineering facility, delivering modernized research and offices designed to support advanced academic work:
🧠 Neuroscience Department – Siena completed a 2,100 sf renovation to create updated dry lab environments, including offices, meeting rooms, computational testing spaces, and collaborative workstations. The project was delivered over a 17-week on-site schedule and supports research focused on learning, memory, and decision-making across developmental stages.
🖥️ Office Fitouts (within Neuroscience Department) – A separate 3,600 sf office fitout provided modernized workspace for faculty and staff, enhancing functionality and collaboration.
🗣️ Linguistics Department – Redesign of 10,500 sf of first floor and basement space to create updated offices, conference areas, and lab environments.
🍽️ Dining Hall Conversion – Transformation of 1,000 sf of former office space into a dining hall in just three weeks.
Siena’s flexibility and client-focused approach – led by Jessie Guilfoy and Jess Baccari – ensure projects are delivered efficiently, building trust and leading to long-term partnerships and repeat work.
