You can’t spell “cool” (or “loco”) without COO. Today we’re celebrating a quarter century of service by George Poulos, Siena Construction’s fearless Chief Operating Officer.

In 2001, Pat Hayes and Greg Antonopoulos took a chance on a young guy and Northeastern University grad whose only real claim to fame at that point was delivering the perfect pizza pie.

Few would’ve guessed that 25 years later, he’d be running (and stealing) the show with his beloved mix of uncanny industry insight and insufferable charm.

Much more than just a corporate mascot whose main bit is dad jokes, George keeps us straight by organizing meetings and team outings, teaching Siena staff the nuances of construction finances and Greek dance, while also encouraging us to keep dreaming (and billing) big.

George also has a knack for bringing good people into Siena’s orbit. Years ago, he introduced us to his family friend Razia Jan, whose Razia’s Ray of Hope Foundation has become a long-standing part of Siena’s community life and a cause we’re proud to support.

But seriously (because someone has to be), Siena would not be the firm it is without this guy. He delivers the goods – not just pizzas – with a reliable, thoughtful, common-sense approach for our clients and unwavering support for his Siena team every day.

We’re lucky to call him a colleague, and even luckier to call him a friend. Please join us in celebrating 25 years of George. You (but mostly he) will be glad you did. Thanks for all you do, George, including keeping Siena a little weird. Here’s to 25 more. Keep filling your mug with honey.
