CAMBRIDGE, MA – Siena Construction is pleased to announce the hiring of Alex Testa as an Assistant Project Manager. Alex will assist the operation of Siena’s construction projects, including budgeting, schedule management, and coordination of information among project team members. Her industry-related expertise ensures accurate planning decisions and superior client service.

Alex brings five years of professional experience in engineering and project planning, and says she is “driven by well-managed, sustainable, and exciting projects”. Previously, she served as a Structural and Preservation Engineer at Silman Associates in Boston. At Silman, Alex was the lead engineer on a major renovation of Neilson Library at Smith College in Northampton. She also was part of the engineering team constructing the Van Sinderen Plaza housing development in Brooklyn’s East New York neighborhood, as well as the Riverfront Park community center in Tampa.

Siena’s President Terrence Hayes believes Alex’s professional achievements and skills strongly complement Siena’s client-first philosophy.

“Alex is knowledgeable and responsible, with proven success in project planning and management,” Terrence said. “Her unique knowledge as an engineer and designer will serve our clients well throughout the planning and construction phases. I’m excited to welcome Alex back to Siena.”

Previously, Alex was an Intern at Siena while studying for her Civil Engineering Degree at Tufts University. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from UMass-Amherst. Alex is the Emerging Professionals Communications Chair at the USGBC Massachusetts Chapter, and is also affiliated with the AGC’s Building Women in Construction Organization.
